Lauren Peters is a strategic, mission-driven leader with deep experience advancing statewide health reforms and addressing complex healthcare challenges. She is the founding President of the Massachusetts Payer Provider Partnership (MP3), a nonprofit organization dedicated to convening local health plans and health systems to improve healthcare affordability and access for patients.

Prior to launching MP3, Lauren served as Executive Director of the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA), an independent state agency serving as a hub for Massachusetts’ healthcare data and analytics. CHIA’s work supports evidence-based policymaking and informs the commonwealth’s provision and purchase of healthcare services.

Previously, Lauren served as Undersecretary at the Executive Office of Health and Human Services (EOHHS), where she oversaw key programs and policy initiatives across multiple agencies, including the Department of Public Health and MassHealth, the state’s Medicaid program. During her time at EOHHS, she played a central role in the commonwealth’s COVID-19 response, led initiatives addressing homelessness and substance use disorders, and advanced long-term care, primary care, and behavioral health reform efforts.

Earlier in her career, Lauren served as Associate General Counsel and Director of Healthcare Policy at the Massachusetts Executive Office for Administration and Finance, advising on healthcare finance, policy, and legal matters. She also held prior roles at the Health Policy Commission and the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

Lauren earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, concentrating in health and biomedical law, and holds a bachelor’s degree with honors from William Smith College.
